I didn't want my party to nominate the fraud from Illinois, let alone elect the f'er! In one of his campaign speeches I added up in my head what he wanted to do, and said to my husband, where is he going to get the trillions he needs to do that? Well, now we know, by taxing the bat snot out of everything moving... Sarah makes so much sense to me, and comes across as so real, I think that is exactly why the media is dissing her so bad...and I am fed up with their elitists attitude...fatheads!
There really is something to that Rose......I heard Glen Beck say essentially the same thing a few weeks ago....We just know that in our guts. "Palin 2012!".....
Our Glorious Leader could run under the slogan, "I am for change, and this time I really mean it!" My hope is, if they can not get the Kenyan out of the White House before then, the people will wake up and realise the Republicans and the Democrats are really just one party and have been for some time now. I couldn't understand why they did not realise this when the Democrat controlled Congress did nothing about Bush, and even handed him everything he wanted. It was a clear sign to the people, and yet they ignored it.
Since it is obvious that the DemoPublicans have merged into one lock stepped mindset (spend and spend some more) the real alternative would be an independent....and if enough people are angry, an independent could win...
That's basically true. But I don;t think an independent can win. The thing to do, for people in both parties, is to stop electing scumbags. I don't know how, but I'm pretty sure that's the first step.
Well I don't recommend that conservatives just go out and get the scariest person they can find. She scares moderates too...
I'm not afraid of her because she's conservative - conservatism is half of the coin. No problem.
Y'all have some much better candidates. More electable, and less likely to be led around by the nose once in office. Seriously, she'd be putty in the hands of the special interests. I think Huckabee is slick enough to be a contender even in 2012. He's twice the conservative christian Palin is, and I don't agree with him about anything, but he's a worldly, intelligent professional, he can form complete sentences, and I could sleep nights knowing he was in charge of the FBI and the nukular arsenal.
OTOH, I kinda look forward to her campaign. Although I would fear a Palin White House, I don't see it ever happening.
Easier said than done. Besides, really decent people when they run turn into really corrupt a_holes in office. Look at the fact that every law passed by Congress usually exempts Congress from compliance. Lead by example, hardly ! Term limits were implemented in California, and it didn't stop the problem, because legislators get termed out and run (1) in another district, (2) in a different house (3) for a statewide office....ergo we get former Governor Jerry Brown as our Attorney General after he did a stint as mayor of Oakland. No, I stand by the Independence Party - It's Time For a Change Empowering Voters and Leading the Fight for Another Major Party in America http://www.independencepartyofamerica.com/freedom/
Facts!? Sources!?.......That is hardly a supportable claim. I submit that simple Family Values and Morality are the sublime themes that are abhorrent to the left and particularly the Left-wing media that has spent considerable currency and resources vilifying someone who's political record is beyond reproach......Only the Michael Jackson pop-star who liked little boys funeral freak-show coverage has rivaled their efforts as of lately.
I'd love to see some new parties added to the mix. Practically everyone who votes Dem just does it to oppose the GOP, and vice versa. When's the last time you voted FOR someone instead of against the opponent? I seldom have.
That and/or real campaign finance reform. Special interests own both parties. We're left arguing about goddamned stupid prayer in school and gay marriage while Rome burns. You think Exxon or Citibank cares about gay marriage? Either do the politicians. But it makes a perfect distraction.
I couldn't agree more.....Palin is not "owned" by the left or the right. She's her own person. I would not be one bit surprised if she ran as an independent.
Hmm. I don't know anyone on the left who has a problem with family values per se. The problem lefties have with it is, it's code for anti-gay discrimination and no-choice and similar things.
Politicians bragging about family values is like them bragging about honesty and integrity. No one is opposed to honesty or integrity! But when I hear them say that kind of thing I reach for my headphones.
The GOP has talked a good game, but they've done nothing to promote family values any more than they have for honesty and integrity. I could go much further on that subject...
I suggest we start arguing over marginal tax rates and foreign relations and leave family values for families to work out on their own.
We were talking about Gov. Sarah Palin....not the GOP or the DNC...So if you go on, you're still off track......I already stated that I couldn't agree more about the fallibility of both party's. Nothing you or the left has offered regarding Sarah Palin integrity or values has stained her character. Michael Jackson.....an accused child-molester who admitted inappropriate relationships with young boys, paid hush-money, and fled the country for a spell, was given a funeral and media coverage that rivaled that of royalty.........Our dead soldiers have given much more and with honor, yet not the same LSMS coverage.......What gives!?
I thought, "Sarah Palin 2012," was the subject of this blog....Apart from the media's negative coverage of her, no one seems to be able to produce any crimes or ethical substance to support their claims against her. I challenge you to provide what they have failed to do, or cease and desist your unsubstantiated rantings.
Ok people, we need to be nice....even to those that dont believe as we do. And yes, this is about Palin. Whether she runs in 2012 or not, she will always be a great lady in my book- God, family, country....
Like I said, I prefer Britney. Personally, I honestly think she is a prima facie ridiculous candidate for national office. It's got little or nothing to do with the ethical allegations that have been made about her. I don't have ethical-conduct objections about Alan Keyes either. You can't blame the media, not for all of it. She stands right up and does it to herself. The media maybe sometimes makes it worse, and they don't give her the kinds of breaks they give insiders like McCain and Kerry, but they couldn't possibly bend over backwards far enough to protect her from herself. And you can't blame the DNC smear machine, either. Olbermann's jokes wouldn't be funny if people weren't already laughing at her. Mostly they just run the tape. Democratic strategists are more excited about her fundraising appearances than the GOP candidates are. Far from having spent a fortune to defeat her, they've made a fortune on her. She mobilizes BOTH bases. The only thing that keeps Democrats from hoping she runs in 2012 is the idea that she might actually win. I know that not everyone sees her the same way, but I am honestly amazed by that. I really don't understand it, except that maybe she symbolizes something completely abstract that has nothing to do with her, herself. Cause from where I'm sitting, I can't see anything stellar about her, herself.
I swear I'm not trying to be a dick about it. You can get mad if you want, but it's not intended as bait. I realize it's just an opinion. Like I said, I truly don't understand what anyone sees in her.
I just don't think she truly has what it takes. Her quitting the governorship is a case in point. Also, she really did the McCain campaign little good, and probably a bit of damage, but I think McC was just going through the motions. He knew before the first speech that the powers that be (Federal Reserve bankers, et al) weren't going to let him be prez. And chosing a mere Barbie Doll as a potential vp just showed he didn't and doesn't have half a clue what he was/is doing. Ron Paul so won the debates, yet the press flunkies would immediately (as so very apparently instructed by their handlers) start the clown act that McCain won each of them. Both of these parties make me sick. I no longer will even bother to vote. I refuse to be a party to this farce.
My major disagreement with people that call Sarah Palin a joke is that there is a smug meanness in all of this. Caller her a running joke, slutty airline attendant, attacking her kids, the whole list of smears sickens me. It bothered me when they made the jokes about Hillary as well, because I basically am hearing/getting the subtext message that women aren't ready for prime time, unless they meet some preconceived BS ideal of what a woman with gravitas would look like, talk like, or act. Like whom? And why does it matter? I know first hand about this misogyny, intended or not. I know because anytime i aspire for a promotion, i have to be prepared for the neanderthalic comments that have challenged my abilities to do a job because I was too pretty, not pretty enough, too tall, not the right image, etc etc... Sarah may in fact not have a clue about the realities of being vice president or president, but I am confident that her learning curve would be TREMENDOUSLY less that Barry Obama, a smug over confident over achieving egotistical asshole if I ever saw one. I am sorry for the outburst here, but so be it.
I was thinking more in terms of being stumped in interviews and not knowing the subject discussed. I think, male or female, McCain's decison could have been better.
Palin of course! :D Had to peek in with that title

I don't see why most people shouldn't want that.
