Ok, where is everyone?

My, my, my

Multiply is 15th on the list of most active social networking sites for November 2010.

No doubt anyone with a computer has figured out Facebook is number 1, followed by MySpace.

Numbers 3-15 are

3.      Twitter – self explanatory

4.      LinkedIn-business oriented networking

5.      Ning – huh? Organize around your favorite cause. Build a hub for your online activity.

6.      Tagged - Chat, flirt, photos, games, and more!

7.      Classmates -

8.      Hi5

9.      Myyearbook

10.  Meetup

11.  Bebo

12.  Mylife

13.  Friendster

14.  My Heritage

15.  Multiply

So when you come online and see no one around, now you have some idea where they may be online….or maybe, they aren’t online at all… My heritage beat out Multiply? Really?

  1. Depends on what type of communication you wish to share. There is room for more than one and one size never fits all.

  2. MySpace is only #2 because once you sign up they make it next to impossible to leave.

  3. Twitter is just...well...stupid! Linked-In is as useless as tits on a bullfrog! Ning sites were originally well-designed and user frienly as the old Y!360 sites (but without all the kinks), but then started adding all the really dumb Facebook fly-by-blogger applications, then got greedy and started charging subscriptions. Classmates...a money-making scam from the get go of its existence (and exceedingly boring!). Multiply beats them all as to quality and real thought given to what users want.

  4. I can't imagine what at all appeals about like, click, like, click, like, click, like "keeping in touch" Facebook. It is just soooo very lame!
I can't feature why, though, people have virtually stopped blogging here. Are they wanting instead "LIKE" validation of silly two-word comments or pics? Maybe "LIKE" isn't so risky as perhaps asking others to share a real opinion!

  5. I for one find Facebook pretty unsatisfying. MySpace is not something I enjoyed either. I have used LinkedIn, because other folks i worked with said it was a good way to network...although that depends on how often you use it. My favorite of all time was Yahoo360, but yahoo screwed that up, and so now i enjoy being here on Multiply
Classmates is a rip off, no two ways about it...they lost a law suit about forcing people to pay to be a member to see who was checking their page

  6. I'm laughing my hiney off because I am so totally against the concept behind Facebook. If I wanted to stay in touch with those people I would have stayed in tough with those people. I have no desire to have any of those bastards find me now.
