Yes I Can

I hate these ads, are you smarter than so and so...

But this one I just had to respond to. Before he was elected, Obama was being praised as the most brainiac man EVER...yet when i research it, I find no real disclosure, but suppositions on how smart he is based on grades, scores on test, so forth.
Well i know my IQ, i took a IQ test in college because i felt stupid and thought if i could prove it i could drop out...unfortunately they foiled that scheme to further a career in laziness and made me become a productive person...yuck.

For those that want to know, our smartest president was supposedly (varies) Thomas Jefferson, Abe Lincoln, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Carter, Reagan (?) or Clinton.

But calling Obama the smartest president…ever? Based on what?? And if I hear ‘president of the Harvard law review’ one more time, I will run screaming into the streets. Please! I'm smarter than he is.

  1. I don't know my IQ but I think it's 128 as well. Been a really long time since I've been tested. Are IQ tests valid for anything anyway? I think not..........

  2. I agree...about all i can see good in them is maybe helping in school, like in my case, the counselor was able to tell a lot about aptitude as well as intellect. Of course those things can change with time, especially when i took these at 20...

  3. Many, including myself, feel there is little validity in intelligence quotients. In case you are wondering where the numbers originate, why a person is said to have an IQ of 110, or 115, it was decided that intelligence of humans would fit under the standard bell curve with the average arbitrary set at 100. If one's IQ is stated to be 100, it would mean that half the population has an IQ greater than your IQ, and half of the population has an IQ lower than your IQ. The standard deviation is 15.

It is quite possible one could take several IQ tests over a period of time and observe one's IQ falling and rising without any defined pattern.

  4. This is really true of the online tests. i have scored as high as 147 and as low as 90 on so called IQ tests online.

  5. What I found amusing is that he "got smarter" in these ads as the election approached, and seemingly no one wanted to know McCain's IQ---what was with that!
I recall Obama's IQ being rated 120, 125, and then 128 in these ads. Who knows, if he does well as prez, by the time of the next election he may be a jeeekniusss!

  6. Well if he's that smart, I wish he would act like it. He's lacking common sense....
