Keep the car running
Same old city with a different name.
Men are coming to take me away.
I don’t know why but I know I can’t stay.
There’s a weight that’s pressing down.
Late at night you can hear the sound.
Even the noise you make when you sleep.
Can’t swim across a river so deep.
They know my name 'cause I told it to them,
But they don’t know where And they don’t know
When It’s coming, when It’s coming.
There’s a fear I keep so deep,
Knew its name since before I could speak:
Aaaah aaaaaah aaaaah aaaaaah
They know my name 'cause I told it to them,
But they don’t know where And they don’t know
When It’s coming, Oh! when It’s coming
Keep the car running
If some night I don’t come home,
Please don’t think I’ve left you alone.
The same place animals go when they die,
You can’t climb across a mountain so high.
The same city where I go when I sleep,
You can’t swim across a river so deep.
They know my name 'cause I told it to them,
But they don’t know where
And they don’t know
When It’s coming, Oh! when is it coming?

October 07, 2007 Evening edition-Vacation roundup
Here are some of the things i collected on my latest vacation:
3 lbs of Washington roasted coffee, oddly enough purchased in Oregon
A new Coach bag( from the outlet in Lincoln City)
New Boots
Weather station- hand carved myrtlewood, coast of oregon
Beer glass from Sierra Nevada Brewing in Chico CA
Variety of food, and those smashed pennies you make by putting in 50 cents and the penny, and spinning a crank and out pops your penny elongated and with some design on it, like this
But mostly i have memories of all the wonderful places and things we saw...
Air Force planes appearing from the clouds to land at the local air force base next to Fort Lewis...or navy planes coming in from overseas
Ships passing the ferry
and scenery, far different from where I live...
Too much to list it all here. Another vacation over...now just work for six months paying it all off! ( Really, I think in just gasoline, when we didn't pay cash, we must have charged a lot. )
