Michelle - Barack- The Axis of Hypocrisy

I read this story online, and really shook my head...really, she really said that??? What? She DID...!

See what you think...

At a ceremony at the White House on Tuesday, First Lady Michelle Obama announced the launch of the ‘Let’s Move’ campaign to end childhood obesity in the United States, an epidemic she said is costly and a threat to national security.

“A recent study put the health care cost of obesity-related diseases at $147 billion a year,” Mrs. Obama said. “This epidemic also impacts the nation’s security, as obesity is now one of the most common disqualifiers for military service.”

Ok, how many applicants to our voluntary military get bounced because they are over the weight limit??? "According to the latest Pentagon figures, a full 35 percent, or more than one-third, of the roughly 31.2 million Americans aged 17 to 24 are unqualified for military service because of physical and medical issues. And, said Curt Gilroy, the Pentagon’s director of accessions, “the major component of this is obesity. We have an obesity crisis in the country. There’s no question about it.”

Isn't this the same government that pushes fast food school lunches?,Isn't this the same government that under funds physical exercise programs, things we all grew up with?

So now Michelle wants us to all do as she says?? what the ???

I say keep it up! Keep talking to the nation like we're all a bunch of pitiful dolts that hang on your inspired words of leadership and wisdom.....

One termer, coming up!!!

  2. But we are pitiful dolts, just look. What's sad is that we have the possibility to be so much otherwise but don't realize it, in two senses-- it doesn't dawn on our brains and we don't do what's necessary to change. This is on all levels, not just the physical, but also mental and above all spiritual.

  3. The real problem with her statement was the "threat to national security." This threat to national security bullshit needs to stop. It is used for a wide range of things from keeping even the most mundane information from the citizens to removing our rights and freedoms.

  4. By the way; unless I did the maths wrong, which is a distinct possibility, that still leaves 20.3 million soldiers to fight.

  5. I heard another angle on this. Mark Levin was talking about Michelle and her appearance on a morning television show, and being interviewed on this subject. She first says that the government is going to do something about the problem (something must be done!!!), then when the interviewer mentions that a lot of people don't like the government telling them what to do, she says they won't be doing that. A complete contradiction. Mark used the word "idiot" to describe her. It looks like she will not even wait until the next day to contradict herself, as Barack seems to do. The podcast from 9th February is available for free at his site. www.marklevin.com/
Oops. had to change that. It was the 9th when he did that bit, not on the 10th as I had originally stated.

  6. Excellent point. Everything but terrorism seems to be a threat to national security.

  7. It is a problem, but we can not have food police going around homes. However, a 300 lb child that is only six years old probably should be taken from the parents as that child is one foot from the grave. One thing that has been done in some areas, SOME areas, is the removal of soft drinks from the schools. Believe it or not, the soft drink companies push their way into the schools, and drink machines lined the school's cafeteria, and even hallways. Another problem is the contents of the school's meals, they are now junk food, pizzas and beefbugers. Schools no longer cook proper lunches, and what they do prepare has way too much fat, too much carbohydrates.

About the best that can be done is to educate the people, and to teach proper nutrient in the schools, and to start serving proper foods in the schools again and milk instead of soft drinks.
