I was going to blog about something relatively simple and benign, but then...
I am really tired of people labelling other people as inherently stupid, vapid, intellectually challenged, sexual deviants, or whatever because what they say, online or elsewhere, is counter to the current government.
I attended the Tea Party in Sacramento last April, and thereafter was labelled a hater, a racist, a dulltard (yes, here is the quote in part "You are a f**king dulltard. You have not a clue ...)
So much for civility in discussions. Sort of like MSNBC Oberman speaking about Scott Brown:
See, if you are a not a raving fan of the president, or the new agenda, you automatically become a slovenly hater...well that's what my daddy would have said is a "crock of BS."
So let me make this real simple. I don't hate Obama. I do think he is ineffective as a leader; ineffective leading the Democratic Party, ineffective in managing the direction of any national debate, ineffective in representing the USA.
That's not just me mouthing off...its what others think as well....
"Despite his ability to deliver soaring rhetoric, President Barack Obama’s effectiveness to build bi-partisanship and rally citizens around his initiatives have fallen far short of expectations following his inauguration. Practically every initiative Obama has championed has fallen short of its stated goals or, in many cases, been diametrically opposed to the wishes of a majority of American people.
The number one issue on the minds of Americans over the past year, for example, has been the economy and unemployment. Obama’s solution to address this issue was a 787 billion dollar Stimulus Bill which has not only did not do what the president said it would do (keep unemployment under 8%), it’s actually made it worse as unemployment remains at over 10% since passage of the bill.
The number two issue on the minds of American is the ballooning national deficit. Here again, Obama’s initiatives have only made the problem worse as Obama champions deficit busting initiatives such as health care reform and pork-laden spending bills.
On the foreign policy front, not only has Obama been on a non-stop apology tour for every past American transgression, but Obama has infuriated a majority of Americans by passively allowing Attorney General Eric Holder to move forward with affording the perpetrators of 911 all the rights of a U.S. citizen by trying them in lower Manhattan."
It is time that Mr. Obama assume the role of President of the United States, and use the pulpit of his office to further the goals of his administration by speaking with a singular voice, unwavering in intensity to push legislation forward and cease his acquiescence of power to Congress. Having not done so for the first year of his administration has deeply damaged his ability to be seen as an effective leader...."
Well, OK then, lets see if he can muster up the courage to be that guy...I doubt it...
You are thinking in the wrong direction, the Glorious Leader is doing exactly what he intended to do all along, what he had in mind when he was campaigning for the office. I kept telling people not to watch the silk scarf, but to look at his other hand.
ReplyDeleteIt was as if people turned in to zombie's
ReplyDeleteSee my post for YAPS. Lech Walesa issues a warning for America.
ReplyDeleteAs Charles Krauthammer has said, O is not actively pursuing economic recovery, we can see that by every thing he's doing to date. But he is mapping out a management plan for our demise as a Republic.
ReplyDeleteI am with ya all the way
ReplyDeleteWe've flat been sold out by Washington, D. C.
ReplyDeleteHow can we expect one man to be effective in what amounts to changing the world, creating a paradise? It will only come about through the efforts of all of us. If we don't change, nothing much else will either.
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that the "effort of all of us" was telling Obama and Congress they did not want the healthcare bill they were trying to shove down their throats! I don't recall either the Glorious Leader or Congress listening to them, but they listen very carefully to what the drug companies and corporate healthcare was telling them.
ReplyDeleteObama could bring home the troops from Iraq and Afghanistan tomorrow if the wanted to. Obama could have stood up to the drug companies and corporate healthcare if he wanted to. Obama could demand that Congress repeal the Patriot Act if he wanted to. Obama could honour the Constitution and stop throwing people in prison without due process of law if he wanted to. There is a whole list of things that Obama could do if the wanted to.
This is not about the effort of us all because Americans have no bleeding control or power outside of an election, and even there the control is weak at best. If John Kennedy had ran as an independent; if he had not been assassinated, the electoral college could have refused to seat him as president, opposing the popular vote. At this point, the best the American people can do is to replace as many Congresspeople that will make Obama a lame duck president until they can vote; hopefully, an Independent into the Oval office and end this Democrat/Republican party control over them.
The effort of all of us is what is needed. We will never create a paradise on earth. When people tell you that it is the goal of their movement or policies, then you know to get rid of them or stay away from them. Or you could try to help them with some facts.
ReplyDeleteThe greatest problem right now is that the current administration is working against its own citizens. The private sector is where we create the wealth, and the confidence level is being undermined by current policy. And what about liberty? Has the president ever even used that word?
Canice, I have to say that I have never seen any hate come from you, and all the issues you have raised have been discussed with facts.
I think the reason that there is little answer given for that Olbermann guy is that almost no one is watching him. He probably gets more exposure when another show quotes him than on the original broadcasts. I heard about his insult of Scott Brown through another show, for instance. I wonder (but only a little) if Olbermann ever bothered to explain his opinion for that list of accusations?
I agree, the effort of all Americans to wake up and stop the Democrat/Republican Party, and yes, it is a one party system! It would have been even better if they had sent the Independent into office.
