Celente believes the government will use this increased defense allowance to amass weapons and apparatuses that will control any dissent among the people. Citing a Feb. 15 article in the USA Today titled, Kill Switch Bill Alarms Privacy Experts, Jones says the government has already begun taking steps to control an uprising. They've openly stated that they want to be able to shut down the Internet and they're getting ready to launch a false flag using either a terrorist alert or the threat of war as an excuse to flip the kill switch.
Forewarned is forearmed.
What was one of the first steps taken in the Middle East during all the uprisings, disrupt communications among the masses.
ReplyDeleteHowever, defunding the Net Neutrality is more about the new Republican controlled House catering to the corporations that owns the internet. We think of the internet being outside any ownership; however, it is owned by the ones that owns and operates the fibre backbones and the ISPs that operate the routers and own the local connections that allows users to connect to the internet. The FCC was actually trying to help the people with Net Neutrality; yet, you would be surprised at how many sheeple objected to the FCC trying to keep the net open from the corporations.
And maybe open from the US government as well.
ReplyDeleteThe FCC was trying to tell companies who spent their own money to build these networks that comprise the Internet of today just exactly what they can and can't do with those networks. It wasn't about helping people, it was about control. Understanding the issue doesn't make anyone Sheeple.
ReplyDeleteThe FCC has alwys been about control... In one form or another. Recall the push to require all radio and television networks to have a license renewed every 2 years with a slew of required signatures.... It was just a matter of time.
ReplyDeleteRegulation of corporations is necessary because the greed knows no bounds. It is interesting to see people defending the corporations that wouldn't even stop to spit on them in passing. This started because Comcast, was actually slowing people's connections down on purpose; after all, it is UP to whatever speed. This is not about normal congestion on the network, this was deliberately slowing peoples connections. Of course there are those who don't have any ideas about how any of this works. Why would you side with the corporation? Do you own massive amounts of stocks in some internet company? Must be otherwise I would not understand why you are defending a corporation. We only have to look to the past and to the present to see how corporations view the masses.
ReplyDeleteOf course the FCC is about control, it is a regulatory body. Remember when you did not have to put up with 20 minutes of adverts every five minutes of show? That was a regulation, of course that regulation was only on broadcast. The regulation of how many minutes of adverts were dropped and now all you get is adverts.
The problem is that you don't understand the issue, you have picked a side because of some political involvement.
Of course, it is a regulatory body; that is what they are suppose to do. Of course the corporations don't like to be regulated, it cuts into their massive profits.
ReplyDeleteLet's take my cable company. Just on the internet part, they kept raising the rates for internet service until I was paying close to $70.00/month on the service. Then they announced they had made an INCREASE of 30% in profits, that is an increase over the already profit they were making. So why in bloody hell did they need to raise rates? They claim they need to raise rates to meet costs, yet they make a 30% increase in profits.
ReplyDeleteI Guess what is forgotten is that with more government involvement, more regulations, we the citizens lose in the end. Capitalism is about making money... Simply put without considering any ethics. In a capitalist society the citizen has the Choice to use or not use the product, especially of it is not a necessity, such as the Internet. I do not want my Information censored or filtered. I can do that on my own. Giving a governing body MORE power especially since it is already overpowering the power of the people... Is it logical? To me? No. This entity has the power to quickly turn on the people. And that is what I see happening in the future. Every time new regulations get passed, the more complicated it gets. And the more of our liberties get hacked away. It's not political beyond the fact tht the US government as a whole has too much power and meddles way too much.

ReplyDeleteSorry. Posted twice. I'm on a cell.
ReplyDeleteActually I understand the issue very well from first hand experience in the Telecom and Cable Industries, not what the HuffPo and Daily Kos tell me I should think. And no I don't own stock in any of those companies, unless it's blindly through Mutual Funds that I have no control over what stocks they carry. When I left the industry I left it all.
ReplyDeleteNo one forces you to use Comcast for your Internet access. No one force you to continue using any DSL carrier. If Comcast advertises "up to x speed" and they deliver you have gotten exactly what you paid for. If they determine that slowing certain upload speeds will provide a "faster on average" overall speed for all their customers then they are free to do that any day of the week. After all it IS their network. You know how you combat that? Put on your big girl panties and walking shoes and go down to Joe's Internet and sign up there. The fact is Comcast spent their money to build their networks and they are free to offer it in any way they see fit that does not violate the law.
This is just another great example of what this country has become. No one does their homework when buying anything anymore. They just run out and buy whatever has the flashiest advertising and then piss, moan, whine and complain when it doesn't do an more then what they said it will. So to protect themselves from their own laziness and ineptitude everyone wants the nanny government to run in and protect them from their own stupidity instead of just being responsible for themselves. Quit excusing stupidity and start expecting responsibility and maybe as a country we will discontinue circling the drain.
About your statement, "Of course the FCC is about control, it is a regulatory body." Yes, it is a regulatory body who does not have control over anything but publicly own airwaves. Regulation of Internet Access is outside it's domain and the courts have already ruled that way once. Anytime a Government agency wants to take control of more then they are mandated to we all should be very worried. Of course those that want them to don't understand the issue and have already picked a side because of some political involvement.
So why in the world do you continue to buy a product from them. It either has to be laziness or mental deficiency.
ReplyDeleteVote with your feet!
Net or not, I know the FCC really screwed up television! I'm so sick of trashy digital *^&% signals. I want my analogue tv!
ReplyDeleteLook at the banking industry. Think deregulation made nice guys outta them? They are totally out of control, yet unfortunately IN control. (Get rid of the Fed and debt-backed currency!)
