Lets all beat each other up...and blame each other for everything

I think thats where we as a society are...clamoring for freebies, and cheap stuff, and keep the benefits coming, but don't make me pay for it, and OH I know, lets make rich people pay for it.

Problem of that is rich people already pay the bulk of the tax burden, and if you keep taxing more and more, then they either move or stop being rich... No people, we need to straighten out the economy by leaving the world of me ism for what our parents and grandparents tried to teach us, a little self reliance and responsibility. We need to tell the government to stop spending so much, and instead focus on the core issues that are theirs to deal with and let each community deal with their citizens and tax as appropriate...IMHO

  2. I do not make huge money. I'm barely above the median for my area which is not a lot.

    I pay for
    1) My kids education
    2) My retirement
    3)Then my goodies

I have few goodies. And that pisses me off when I get behind someone talking on their iPhone in the grocery line and then they pay with a State Benefits card

  4. That is what liberals want class warfare. Look if they (the Government) thinks taxing the so called rich is a good idea they are Nuts! Seventy five percent of those making 250K a year are small business, they file taxes file as an individual not as corporation. Raising taxing on those who provide jobs in this Economy is insane. There are not a lot of jobs now, it would seem to me that you would lower taxes, so those who want to hire can.

  5. My company would like to hire, but with no growth in the need for what we do, how can you? My consulting friends, all self employed small businesses, are struggling.
Class warfare is not what we need, but its what we are getting!

  6. The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other peoples' money.
I can't remember who said that.
Right now I am employed by someone who is probably considered "rich" because he is sure to be hit by the tax increases. When taxes go up on business, it gives a punch in the gut to the employees too. Part of th eeffect is that pay or benefits will go down, and/or some will be let go.
